Enduro Route Connecting Almost All Available Descents in the Area
At km 2.5, during the climb to the Picón viewpoint, you’ll find access to the third section of the flow uphill climb, the only one of its kind built in Spain to date. It is designed to make the most of electric bikes' capabilities while also meeting adaptive cycling route specifications. (It can also be ridden downhill, but priority is given to hikers and ascending cyclists.)
From the top of El Picón, the first blue-level descent begins, covering the first 1,200 meters. After 3.5 km, it reaches San Vicente, passing through trails and a newly built 300-meter red-level section that connects to a restored old cart path.
At km 6.6, you have the option to continue the climb or descend into San Vicente, a highly recommended stop to visit the charming village or refill your water. After climbing back up to El Picón, we take the red trail, which leads to the Iron Trail (at the entrance to the first path, km 15.8, there is a fountain). At the bottom of the valley, we can follow the Iron Trail, a downhill path with a gentle slope and a blue difficulty level.
Upon reaching km 19, we will complete a loop and return via a parallel path to the Iron Trail, which is part of the Cortines Route, leading us back to the village with two different variants to choose from.
